Physical Education

Physical Education can be viewed as a program of activities in a school curriculum that involves sports, games, dance, gymnastic and recreational activities. It is the vital and integral part of general education designed to promote the optimum development of the individual who participates actively in physical education activities can develop and maintain good health and a high level of  physical fitness, as well as developmental capacities as he learns and acquires knowledge and understanding of rules and strategies of games and sports and discusses ways of performing his movements in gymnastics and dance. An individual becomes friendly, cooperative, and respectful, develops good sportsmanship, and is a good leader. The aim of physical education is to give instruction and practice in athletics and related activities in order to maintain, cultivate and develop the play habit which is important to one’s health. The general aims of physical education are body development and fitness, psychomotor development and sport skills, knowledge and understanding of sports, exercise, health and safety, and affective development and cordial relationships.
