There is much at stake and there are so many people who are not happily married, thus the increasing growth of separations and divorces. No one should just jump into marriage blindly. Marriage is a point in an individual’s which needs plenty of preparation and planning. Marriage is the culmination of several progressive steps in human relationship which starts from friendship, dating, courtship and marriage. A marriage has two elements: personal and social. On the personal side, the two persons pledge themselves each to the other to live as man and wife. this means that the marriage which has taken place at a civil ceremony is just as irrevocable as that solemnized in a church. Some people get married for financial security, or because they are lonely. Others marry because of the pressure from parents, peers and society, for emotional support or because of strong sexual desire. Most say they marry because of culture and tradition, and most importantly because they want to have children.
